About Me

Born and raised in Bradenton, FL, I left the nest at 18 for college in Due West, SC.

Though ordained is a lofty and sometimes stuffy word -- hind sight makes this word so appropriate as to how I can even begin to describe where I've been, where I am, and where I'm going. What would seem like such a random place to end up for college -- to me and everyone around me -- ended up being the exact place I needed to be hear the promises of the Gospel.

It was through RUF or "The Barn" at Erskine College that I learned to live in freedom of God's promises, where I gained true community, where I met my husband, where Cam promised to marry me, where we made our covenant vows before the Lord, friends, and family, and even where I return mentally and physically to remember who God is and what He's doing.

This barn was the beginning of learning to trust and rest in promises that cannot be broken. Promises that are so unlike those of the past. So as an anxious and sensitive adopted child of God, I'm learning to believe the promises and not the lies. I learn them myself and I learn them as a wife and  mama. Cam and I "dance through the minefields" together and it's a beautiful disaster. We'll fumble through life as parents and yet rest that our children will never know a day without King Jesus.

So I'll blog as I struggle to remember those promises, and continue to watch as pieces of darkness are torn from our story as a smaller picture of Kingdom redemption.
